✨ Design Intent
We built the Wainwright Training Cart for handlers who want to introduce their dogs to draft with confidence. Light, simple, and thoughtfully engineered, it’s an approachable first cart that doesn’t cut corners on craftsmanship.
Every detail reflects years of experience—durable and refined enough for competition, yet forgiving and accessible for teams learning the ropes and for handlers who lend their carts as often as they use them.
Refined for Real Life
The Wainwright team set out to evolve the classic Wilczek Woodworks training design with modern updates that make sense in everyday use. We wanted a cart that adjusts easily without reaching for a toolbox, one that feels sturdy under an optional foldable crate yet remains light enough for young, beginner, or smaller dogs.
Durable nylon fixtures hold up to years of wear and temperature swings. A slightly larger platform improves balance and stability, while the adjustable shaft positions make it quick to find the perfect fit for each dog and remove the shafts for easy transport and storage - all without tools. The result is a cart that’s easy to handle, resilient in every season, and tough enough to last through generations of dogs.

Start by measuring the distance from the ground to the breastbone (point of sternum) - this height typically equates to the recommended height of the shafts on most carts, keeping the cart level and balanced.
20” Tires - Fits taller dogs; Height of breastbone is 15” or greater. If more than 20”, contact us for custom options.
16” Tires - Fits dogs with a breastbone height of 13” to 17” high.
14” Tires - Fits dogs with a breastbone height of 12” to 16” high.
11” Tires - Fits dogs with a breastbone height of 10” to 14” high. If less than 10”, contact us for custom options.
